For the first time since COVID brought in-person events to a screeching halt in 2019, Round Rock ISD will resume its in-person Back-to-School Celebration, providing much-needed support to District students and families. In a fun, community-building carnival atmosphere, the event connects families in need with no-cost services such as vaccinations, vision & hearing screenings, and help filling annual forms. This year’s event is sponsored by Round Rock ISD Partners In Education (PIE) Foundation and Texas Children’s hospital. Additional vendors are invited to participate as well. In years past, local organizations have donated services such as back-to-school haircuts, backpacks, and bicycle safety information and gear. If you or your organization or business would like to contribute to the success of Round Rock ISD students by participating in this event, or if you (or your student) would like to volunteer to help, please contact Rachel Sefton, Round Rock ISD Community Partnerships Supervisor. If you prefer to make a donation, the PIE Foundation’s School Supplies Project is raising funds to purchase school supplies that will be distributed to students on every Round Rock ISD campus. Donations of any amount are welcome!
The 2022-23 Back-to-School Celebration will be held on Saturday, August 6th, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Stony Point High School, 1801 Tiger Trail in Round Rock. All Round Rock ISD students and their families are invited to attend. Full details for the event are here.
