Ayaan Moledina (he/him) is a public education and mental health advocate and the Federal Policy Director for Students Engaged in Advancing Texas (SEAT), where he leads federal policy initiatives on suicide prevention, youth mental health, education, and civic engagement. Drawing from his own lived experiences, Ayaan has helped develop state and federal legislation to expand access to mental health resources, strengthen suicide prevention efforts, and improve crisis response for young people. He has collaborated with The White House, the U.S. Department of Education, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, and Members of Congress, and has spoken at national conferences, universities, and policy forums across the country. His advocacy has taken him from organizing congressional briefings and White House roundtables to speaking before legislative committees, national conferences, and higher education institutions. He has guest lectured at Harvard Law School, the College of William and Mary, Stanford University, and more. Through his advocacy, Ayaan works to ensure that young people are not only heard, but are active partners in shaping the mental health policies that affect their lives. Ayaan is currently a candidate for the Round Rock Independent School District Board of Trustees. If elected, he would become the first South Asian elected to the board and one of the youngest elected officials in the United States.

Alicia Markum has had the honor of serving on the Round Rock ISD Board of Trustees for the last four years. Prior to her service on the board, she served in leadership positions throughout the district; including Fern Bluff Elementary PTA President, RRISD Council of PTAs Diversity and Inclusion Chair, and on the RRISD Special Education Parent Advisory Council. Alicia received a Bachelor of Arts in English from Texas A&M University and holds a professional writing certification. She works in public policy and advocacy for disability rights. Alicia and her husband have been married for 20 years and have two children who attend schools in the Round Rock Learning Community.

Meghna has spent nearly 25 years leading technology teams across finance, healthcare, and higher education; today as a Chief Product & Technology Officer shaping companies at scale. An engineer with an MBA from UT Austin’s McCombs School, she has brought that same rigor to RRISD for over a decade: Long Range Planning, Student Health Advisory, its Leadership Program, and a parent volunteer on three campuses since 2015 be it PTA, academic competitions, band or sports. She’s Austin’s Immigrant Affairs Commissioner for District 6, a board member of the National Association of Counsel for Children, and founder of Women in STEM programs. Meghna also co-founded Access Education RRISD so no family would feel locked out. She and her husband are raising two kids here: a daughter at McNeil earning her IB diploma alongside percussion, piano, and health sciences; a son at PRMS in Science Olympiad, cross country, and cricket. Phenomenal teachers, coaches, band directors, and counselors made that possible. She is grateful for all the guidance received from friends and community in finding which doors to knock on, be it TAG, SPED, SEL or academic support. Sharing these resources and helping others solve problems brings her immense joy. Meghna believes that RRISD should produce the strongest students in Texas: every campus, every child. That means rigor that reaches every kid, teachers treated as the professionals who make it possible, and families told the truth, in plain language, early enough to matter.
