It’s not just RRISD; school board chaos/take-overs part of coordinated, national effort.

National media coverage reveals an eerily familiar pattern of events in suburban school districts all across the country. Last summer, NBC News covered school board chaos and District takeovers in Cumberland, Maine. Earlier that year, they had followed the same story closer to home in Carroll ISD, outside of Dallas with their Southlake podcast. And Education Week wrote an article in July 2021 linking state-level education legislation to Trump administration policy.

“While the efforts vary, they share strategies of disruption, publicity and mobilization. The groups swarm school board meetings, inundate districts with time-consuming public records requests and file lawsuits and federal complaints alleging discrimination against white students.”
