RRISD Bonds
Our school district is facing a critical moment in ensuring our schools remain safe, modern, and effective places for learning and growth. The combined $998.1 million bond across Propositions A, B, C, and D addresses pressing needs in infrastructure, technology, fine arts, and athletics.
Together, these propositions represent urgent investments in our schools, ensuring that we provide quality education and opportunities for every student, while responsibly planning for the future.
PROP A—$798.3 million
To create safe and supportive learning environments, we must invest in essential repairs and upgrades to our schools. This includes addressing critical infrastructure needs like roofs, HVAC systems, and outdated classrooms, while also expanding Career and Technical Education opportunities. Expanding robotics programs prepares students for the future, keeping our district competitive and innovative. By improving transportation and safety, we ensure students have the resources they need to thrive.
PROP B—$125.3 million
As education becomes increasingly digital, updating our technology tools is vital for student success. By replacing and upgrading devices and infrastructure, we ensure our schools are equipped to deliver quality education.
PROP C—$8.6 million
Investing in fine arts facilities enriches students’ creative development, which is essential to a well-rounded education. Upgrading our performing arts centers ensures students have the resources they need to excel in music, theater, and the arts, fostering both talent and community engagement.
PROP D—$65.9 million
There is only one competition-ready and ADA compliant facility in our district. Providing equitable access across the district will improve physical well-being, provide a sense of belonging, and increase community involvement. Updating and expanding competition-ready facilities allows us to provide safe, modern spaces for students to participate in sports, while also addressing long-term growth.
